Hope everyone is ready and excited for the new year! As we prepare our activities for the new competition season, we would like to get some feedback and information from the parents.
Are you a proprietor of a business? Either home-based or have a location? We would first and foremost like to work with our parents for our fundraisers, so please email me and let me know if you sell Tastefully Simple, Stamp it up, Pampered Chef, Mary Kay, jewelry etc. A few ideas are to have a vendor night when all of you come together at one time (perhaps prior to the holidays) or have a series of events either at the gym or a nearby home (when our children are happily practicing). Please email me and let me know if you have a business and would like to participate.
Do you work for a company or own your own business and would like exposure to our group, or just to support a good wholesome cause? We customize packages based on your needs and have sponsorship packages from
$100 - $1000.
Thanksgiving Pie fundraiser - We will be holding the Thanksgiving Pie fundraiser again this year and need a chair person. We can either go with Mom's Apple pie or select a new vendor. The Chair would be in charge of this activity and would also need some volunteers to help. Please email me if you are interested and we will also have a sign up sheet at the parent meeting.
Scrips - We are almost ready to put this program in place, however we need a volunteer to select the final vendor and manage the program. The Chair would be in charge of this activity and would also need some volunteers to help. Please email me if you are interested and we will also have a sign up sheet at the parent meeting.
Product fundraisers - These are traditionally the largest money-makers, so we need to select a minimum of one. Ideas that have been presented include:
Pizza
cookie Dough
Blubs
Holiday centerpieces
Green-recycle bags (The Dodo Bag Co)
Chocolate/desserts
Savings Cards
If you have any ideas, please email them to me. The Chair and the committee would be in charge of selecting this activity and would also need some volunteers to help.
Social Nights - Nights will be scheduled with Fuddruckers (Ashburn), Red Robin, Chick Fil A, Let's Dish etc. Different chairs would be in charge of each one. Please email me if you are interested and we will also have a sign up sheet at the parent meeting. These are mostly fun get-together but they make a little bit of money.
Any other ideas are welcome.
Your Parents Association is an all volunteer run organization, so please let me or any one of the board members know which activity you would like to help with.
